Hello Ann, thank you for your comment. There are many resources out there on how to create this style of art for yourself. Here’s a list of some of the most commonly suggested apps: Procreate, iArtbook, ibis Paint X, Gimp, Adobe Photoshop. The prices can vary and you may need to check if they are compatible with the device that you are using. It’s a very extensive subject but you can find plenty of tutorials for free on Youtube depending on the software you are using. I hope this helps!

Incredibly inspiring. Can you please give us information about other software and apps to help us “posterize” an image or photo for our design ideas? Many of us as textile artists are unfamiliar with such technology aids and even find technology difficult. And yet we can learn if given the right instructions. There is so much to learn on all fronts. The tech part of all this is really a road block. Even a good list of available posterizing (itself a problematic word) software programs with basic guidance for use would be so helpful for many subscribers if your newsletter. We can learn much more easily how to stitch and how to work with textiles. This artist and others achieve their results with these technology programs. Readers need help with this. Thank you!!!

Her influences and motivations are heart-felt, and, from a practical viewpoint, I really appreciated her description of her process, from the posterising to the applique. Great article!
