I too, use my experiences in all forms of art. I used to paint but with declining mobility started working with textiles. I wasn’t sure if my approach would work with this medium. How wrong I was! I have a lot of difficulty processing experiences and emotions. Art making has allowed connection and understanding to happen. As I work, I am able to reflect and express thoughts and emotions. Sometimes the result is beautiful, at other times confronting. It is a useful way of working for me.

Such a brilliant interview, very interesting, I love Hannah’s work. I read an interview from your site the other day where the artist said they created evocative not provocative work this seems to apply here as well. Sorry I can’t remember who the artist was but it struck me as a very positive chord with me.
