Featured artist Ann Goddard – Crafting & conceptualising

Chester based Ann Goddard combines textile elements with non-traditional textile media such as wood, slate and concrete. She describes her work as a mixture of crafting and conceptualising – working on the margins of textile practice & existing in a border zone between fine art and craft. Themes explore the concept of boundaries and human impact on the landscape.

Ann is a member of the 62 Group of Textile Artists and the Society of Designer Craftsmen and has an MA in Fine Art from the University of Chester. In 2010 she won the Grand Prize at the Amateras Annual Mini Paper Art Exhibition in Bulgaria.
