It wears extremely well and washes with some shrinking which only makes the worked area even stronger. It is not woven as true tapestry but worked on a stiff cotton canvas, which becomes soft on washing. It is commonly called ‘tapestry’ here in South Aust. I am blown away by the woven works and the skills needed to accomplish such beauty.
