2018….. more than half way through…. and now I am 81, and slowing down some, as now I must do everything myself…having my good husband die, almost 5years ago….yet reading this interview makes me want to get back to doing more work again…. it is inspiring and validating….thank you for having it still available.
Since I was a child…I like to “make things “….. the motto of many of us !

Although not a quilter, for years I have enjoyed looking at several quilting books from the late 80’s which showed stunning colour-washed quilts of Deidre Adams. It is a joy to find her work again and learn how she has evolved and grown to experiment with surface texture and applied stitched pattern. Thank you for following up the story of her amazing talent!

This was an excellent interview that described how Deidre’s work has evolved, from her earlier pieces to painterly collaged work with papers. I would love to see “Tracings VII” in person as I am sure the rich surfaces would be a delight. Thanks for the interview.

Thanks you for sharing Deidre’s interview. I have admired her work and the support she so willingly shares with others (like photographing for V. Spiegel) and the inspiration she gives to her followers. As a contributing artist with years of private study and focused art making, Deidre inspires creativity and happily promotes the value of devoted studio time. This is an all important aspect in all of our work in progress… just get in there and do it! Loved seeing her new work and wish I were closer to VISIONS location to be able to see her solo show. Definitely visited her links.
